What Are Card Principles and Techniques?
Many card tricks use "slight of hand" -- an art by which magicians manipulate cards either as flourishes (e.g. rolling them across their knuckles) or to secretly achieve some magical purpose (e.g. completely losing a card in a shuffled deck). Slight of hand can be difficult to master, but it is not difficult at all if you do not worry overmuch about its effectiveness.
Other tricks rely on special decks of cards, secret principles, or subtle procedures. Here is the place to learn about them all!
