Time Prediction

Effect

The magician uses magically sensitive fingers to read the time on a spectator's watch without looking at it.

Secret

The magician has a watch with the strap removed attached to a small, dull metal hook so that it can be safely hung over the web between the thumb and forefinger of the left hand. When the magician places this hand over the spectator's watch, the magician's hand is turned so that the face of the magician's watch is visible (to the magician only). The magician can then glance at the secret watch and tell the time accurately.

It is true that the magician must look toward the spectator's watch in order to look at the hidden watch. However, because the magician said right at the beginning of the trick that time will be read by touchonly, spectators will not be looking for a watch peek. They're such trusting souls.End of story

The Magicians Assistance Collective (MAC) frowns upon the use of magic in the formation of religions or to attract a cult following.

Magic is not real. Reality is not magic.
